Invicta UO
RENAISSANCE AT HEART · SPHERE TO THE CORE

Built on Sphere. Still Building.

Invicta began as Ye Olde Sphere and never left the SphereServer foundation. We kept the Renaissance pace and familiar mechanics, then spent years adding our own classes, talents, quests, factions, crafting, PvP systems, and encounters. It should feel like Sphere because that is what it is.

HOW CHARACTERS ARE BUILT

Choose a Class, Then Make It Yours

Every character starts with better baseline statistics and skills. From there, choose one of eight classes and work through six talent tiers, with 18 talents available to each class. The class gives you a starting direction; the choices after that are yours.

Let the Gypsy Decide

Do not want to pick a class from a list? Sit for the Gypsy's Reading and answer the old questions of virtue. Your answers reveal the virtue you favor and point you toward a starting class. The reading is optional, but longtime Ultima players will know it.

WHAT THERE IS TO DO

Plenty to Chase

Some goals can be finished in an evening. Others are meant to keep a character busy for months. None of them stop you from ignoring the plan and making your own trouble.

FOR NEW CHARACTERS

Improved Starting System

New characters begin with stronger baseline statistics and skills, then receive hands-on instruction inside Lord British's Training Academy. You spend less time guessing where to go and more time learning how Invicta actually plays.

WORLD CHALLENGES

Champions and Scrolls of Power

Champion spawns are dangerous group fights. Their Scrolls of Power improve your character and count toward Elder status when applied. Every tier has value, not only the highest one.

QUESTS

Questing

Quest NPCs send you into combat, crafting, and exploration beyond the usual hunting grounds. Their experience rewards are an important part of leveling, so questing is useful from the beginning instead of being side content.

WANTED BY THE TOWN GUARDS

NPC Bounties

The bounty board lists NPC criminals wanted by the town guards. Track them down, bring them down, and collect the posted gold. These are dangerous targets, and the writ is dead or alive.

Factions and Virtues

Factions give PvP a side to fight for and rivals worth remembering. Virtues track another side of the character: the choices you make and the deeds you complete.

CRAFTING

Bulk Orders and Artisan Rewards

Bulk Orders give crafters a long-term reason to keep working their trades. Completed orders earn points, and you spend those points on the reward you want instead of hoping a random roll goes your way.

NPC Variants

A familiar name does not always mean a familiar fight. NPC variants can arrive with different strengths and dangers, so routine travel can still surprise you. This is one of the systems carried forward from our Ye Olde Sphere roots.

SMALL CHANGES THAT SAVE TIME

Less Busywork, Same Consequences

New Player Tutorial

The original T2A “how to play” slides have been rebuilt into Invicta's new-player tutorial instead of being left behind as forgotten client art.

Wisp Companion

Young players receive a wisp companion with a built-in help menu. Double-click it whenever you need a reminder, whether you are new to UO or simply new to Invicta.

Easier to Find Healers

When you die, a healer arrow points you toward help. Death still matters; finding the nearest healer just no longer requires wandering as a ghost without direction.

Ask for Directions

Ask a town NPC for directions when you are looking for a local shop or landmark. They will point you the right way.
